Masha Raj
Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations
Masha Raj has worked in the nonprofit and private sectors and has extensive professional experience in fundraising, marketing, business development, and corporate communications. She started her career in Washington, DC in 1998 and spent eight years working for DC-based nonprofit organizations, including a historic house museum (Dumbarton), where she served as director of marketing and special events, and District of Columbia Jewish Community Center, where she was responsible for foundation relations and grants. In 2007, Masha moved to the Netherlands to study international business management and gain corporate experience. She worked as business development manager for global law firms, most recently in Moscow, Russia.
Masha holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University in the Netherlands. Her M.B.A. thesis focused on the investigation of the art auction business model, art collecting, and art investment. During her M.B.A. studies, she worked as marketing consultant at Sotheby’s—the world’s leading art auction house—in New York. Masha received her Bachelor of Arts degree in German studies from Hampshire College in Amherst, MA. She is interested in fine art, especially German expressionism and Russian avant-garde.
