Gary Carr—Senior Vice President
Gary has 14 years of experience servicing Fortune 500 companies and the philanthropic sector. Prior to joining KindMark, Gary spent five years as the Director of the Fairfax-Falls Church United Way, one of eight regions that comprise United Wayof the National Capital Area, the third largest United Way in the country. During this time, Gary was responsible for the development of several new technology initiatives, including creation of the organization’s first e-commerce, interactive website and automating workplace campaigning. Prior to United Way, Gary spent nine years with NationsBank. In addition to his professional experience, Gary is a founding Board Member of two nonprofit organizations in Northern Virginia- the Cerebral Palsy Ability Center, whose mission is to provide rehabilitation services to children afflicted with cerebral palsy, and the Fairfax Partnership for Youth, whose mission is to facilitate the development of solutions to problems of youth violence. Gary has a BA in History from the University of Virginia.

Don Sodo—President and CEO
Don has served as President and CEO of America's Charities since 1987. On behalf of almost 100 local and national member organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Habitat for Humanity International and the NAACP Special Contribution Fund, America's Charities creates opportunities for its members to participate in workplace-giving campaigns reaching 10 million employees annually. America's Charities specializes in providing customized services to employers with the goal of increasing employee satisfaction, participation, and total giving in payroll deduction campaigns.

Since 1980, America's Charities has raised some $250 million for member charities from employee contributions. Employers providing the choice of America's Charities include the U.S. Government, over 100 state and local governments, and leading corporations such as Sears, American Airlines, AT&T, Hewlett-Packard, American Express, Dell Computers, Siemens ICN and Pitney Bowes.  

Don has served in leadership capacities in national charities for over 20 years. He was the founding Chair of Charities @ Work, a coalition of four national charity federations, and currently serves as it Chair. He chaired the National Federations Committee for the Combined Federal Campaign, and was a leader in the successful effort to pass CFC reform legislation in 1987. He has testified several times before Congressional committees regarding the CFC and charity-related issues. He serves on the Board of Directors of ChildAid and the Rainbow Center for Therapeutic Horseback Riding. 

His volunteer involvement has included youth recreation, education, and domestic violence prevention organizations. Don has also served as a senior executive at Public Citizen, the Pan American Development Foundation, and the Foundation for Exceptional Children. He was also a teacher for seven years.

He holds a B.S. degree in Management Science from the University of Detroit, and an M.A. degree in Human Resource Management from George Mason University. Don and his wife, Pat, a senior consultant a Booz, Allen & Hamilton, have two sons, Mike, a CPA with KPMG, and Tim, an elementary school teacher.
