Joint Preconference Luncheon with Ann Wilson Cramer
Director, IBM Corporate Community Relations and Public Affairs

Ann CramerAnn Wilson Cramer is with IBM Corporation as its director for IBM Corporate Community Relations and Public Affairs. Ms. Cramer started with IBM as a systems engineer in Jacksonville, FL. After having "retired" from IBM for 10 years, she returned to IBM in External Programs, now Corporate Community Relations. Her commitment to and involvement with children and youth has been a lifelong journey. Her current job with IBM allows her to continue her work with the improvement of conditions for families because of IBM’s historic involvement with and investment in local communities.

In support of IBM’s primary focus areas, Ms. Cramer currently serves as past chair of the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education (GPEE); chairs Communities in Schools—Georgia, the Georgia Chamber’s Education Committee, and the WorldClass Schools Foundation; and is on the board of Metro Atlanta Chamber Education Committee and Project GRAD. She serves on the boards of several nonprofit organization, including the Carter Center Board of Councilors, the Woodruff Arts Center, Voices for Georgia’s Children, the Alliance Theatre Company, Georgia Shakespeare Festival, the Georgia Center for NonProfits, Public Broadcasting Atlanta (PBA), the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and the Georgia Chapter of the International Women's Forum.

Likewise, Ms. Cramer chairs the Council on Foundations Corporate Committee and represents IBM on the United Way of America’s National Corporate Leaders Council, the Center for Corporate Citizenship Advisory Board at Boston College, and the Southeastern Council on Foundations Communications Committee. She is past chair of the United Way of Metro—Atlanta, Research Atlanta, and the Arts and Business Council of Atlanta.

Roland PoindexterOpening Keynote Address with Roland Poindexter: Working at the Edge of Creativity and Commerce with Roland Poindexter, an indie producer and consultant who specializes in animated content for multiple platforms.

Roland Poindexter was formerly senior vice president of action adventure properties for Warner Bros. Animation where he oversaw the production of cartoons, including Static Shock for Kids WB and Justice League for Cartoon Network. He was also at Fox Kids where as vice president and head of programming he was responsible for The Adventures of Batman and Robin, Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego, and Spider-Man: Unlimited. He also worked at Black Entertainment Television where as vice president of programming and entertainment, he produced shows including How I'm Living. Mr. Poindexter, who lives in Los Angeles with his wife Tracy and daughter Claire, is currently an independent producer and consultant specializing in animated content for multiple platforms.

Donna Walker-KuhneAcknowledged as the nation’s foremost expert in Audience Development by the Arts & Business Council, Donna Walker-Kuhne has devoted her professional career to increasing access to the arts. She was formerly director of marketing and audience development for The Public Theater and director of marketing for Dance Theatre of Harlem. Presently, she is president of Walker International Communications Group, a marketing and audience development consulting company. Her clients include The Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Dance USA, Signature Theater, Three Mo’ Tenors, The Apollo Theater, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre.  She was an associate producer for George C. Wolfe’s Harlem Song at the Apollo Theater. Her first book, Invitation to the Party:  Building Bridges to Arts, Culture and Community, was published in fall 2005.  www.walkercommunicationsgroup.com.

Arthur CohenArthur Cohen supervises advertising, branding, and media strategy and promotes LaPlaca Cohen’s services. He regularly consults with clients on these and other marketing and communications issues. His experience in marketing to cultural audiences is extensive, and he is recognized as instrumental in advancing the field. Prior to co-founding LaPlaca Cohen, Mr. Cohen served as a consultant to leading cultural organizations, including The J. Paul Getty Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the American Museum of Natural History. He was also a public relations consultant to Giorgio Armani USA and was communications director and later acting deputy director at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston. Previously, he held brand management positions at Gillette and Procter & Gamble. Mr. Cohen serves on the Metropolitan Museum of Art Marketing Task Force; the Smithsonian Institution, Archives of American Art Board; the Americans for the Arts Board of Directors; the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston's Board of Overseers; University of Pennsylvania, Institute of Contemporary Art Board; Harvard University Art Museums Contemporary Collections Committee; Harvard Medical School, Center for Experimental Medicine Visiting Committee; and the Provincetown Art Association and Museum Board.
