The Kennedy Center Concert Hall. Nancy Hanks Lecture is Free! A ticket however is required.

  • Buses will depart from the Capital Hilton Hotel to the Kennedy Center between 5:45 pm - 7:30 pm
  • The Will-Call Desk will be located in front of the Concert Hall and will be open between 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

After the Nancy Hanks Lecture on Arts and Public Policy in America, come to the Emerging Leaders Reception—meet young professionals across the country and listen to a young lawmaker in Congress. Last year, Rep, Chris Murphy (D-CT) gave powerful remarks on why he supports the arts and how he excels as freshman Representative on the Hill.

Bus transportation will be available from the Kennedy Center. This venue is only a few blocks and easy walking distance to the Capital Hilton Hotel. Open to arts leaders of all ages. No admission fee. Cash bar. Light hors d'oeuvres.

  • Shuttle buses will be providing transportation between the Capital Hilton Hotel and the Capitol Hill Cannon Building between 7:30 a.m. and 8:15 a.m.
  • For attendees who choose to take Metro, the Cannon Bulding is located near the Capitol South Metro Station on the Orange/Blue lines.
  • Please bring photo identification.

  • Performances by Peter Yarrow as well as VSA arts vocalist Marleena Coulston
  • Congressional Arts Leadership Award presented to Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT)
