Picture Perfect Countryside is a full-day tour through the rolling hills of Philadelphia’s spectacular countryside. Less than an hour's drive from Philadelphia lays the beautiful Brandywine Valley, immortalized on canvas by many artists, including the Wyeth family.
Our deluxe transportation first takes us to the world-renowned Longwood Gardens. America’s premier horticultural center captivates with 1,050 acres of majestic gardens, natural woodlands, and colorful meadows for an hour-long private tour. After the tour, we’ll have an additional hour and a half to enjoy Longwood’s café and to wander at our own pace through the twenty spectacular outdoor gardens and four acres of indoor heated greenhouses plus visit the gift shop.
On the return trip, we will visit Winterthur, an American country estate, the former home of Henry Francis du Pont (1880–1969), an avid antiques collector and horticulturist. Our visit to Winterthur will include the Elegant Entertaining tour where we’ll experience the elegant rooms where the du Pont family entertained. Rediscover America's heritage through unparalleled collection of antiques and Americana.
