Mimi Flaherty Willis has been involved in arts education for over 30 years. As Senior Director of Education at the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, she directs the Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts, internships, family and youth performances, scholarships, community classes, and professional development for teachers and teacher’s assistants. Willis is a member of the Steering Committee of the Arts Education Partnership and co-chaired the Task Force on Children’s Learning and the Arts. She presents at conferences in the U.S. and abroad, and has served on panels for the NEA, U.S. Department of Education, and state and local agencies.
