Russell Granet started Arts Education Resource after 17 years of working with New York City nonprofits. His most recent position was at the Center for Arts Education (CAE): The NYC Annenberg Challenge for Arts Education, where he held the position of Director of Professional Development and Peer Exchange until starting Arts Education Resource in 2007. CAE’s primary mission is to restore, stimulate, and sustain quality arts education as an essential part of every child’s education. Granet’s career has been greatly influenced by working closely with NYC special education teachers while he was a teaching artist with New York University’s Creative Arts Team. Working with students with disabilities remains a personal passion. His academic career started upon completing his graduate studies at New York University where he created the course Drama in the Special Education Classroom.
