Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture

Hazami Sayed is President/Executive Director of the Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture in Philadelphia. Sayed, an Arab-American and graduate of Columbia University and Stanford University, has worked in the fields of architecture and urban development in Philadelphia and New York City. She founded the nonprofit organization, Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture, five years ago in an effort to expose children of diverse backgrounds to the Arabic language and culture and to promote cross-cultural exchanges through arts education. As the Executive Director, she is responsible for developing and managing the various initiatives which include a summer camp program, weekend arts workshops, and Arabic music appreciation.
