- The House voting record includes votes on floor amendments on NEA funding, Corporation for Public Broadcasting funding, as well as membership in the Congressional Arts Caucus, signatory status of the 2007 Arts in Education and NEA sign-on letters, and co-sponsorship of the artists tax deduction bill. The Senate has taken no up-or-down floor votes on amendments exclusively affecting the arts since 2000. In the absence of a detailed voting record, this section of the 2008 Congressional Arts Handbook recognizes certain Senators who have exercised arts leadership in a variety of other ways.
