Sponsorship Opportunities
Americans for the Arts' major corporate sponsors support the following programs:Research & Policy
The research work of Americans for the Arts encompasses a broad array of inquiry from economic impact studies to analyses of creative industries and philanthropic trends in the arts. Signature projects include Arts & Economic Prosperity, the largest ongoing national study of the economic impact of America’s nonprofit arts industry and the National Arts Policy Roundtable, an annual convening of distinguished national leaders from the public, private and philanthropic sectors brought together to discuss policy initiatives critical to the advancement of American culture.
Advocacy
Advocacy activities at Americans for the Arts embrace work at the local, state, and federal levels to increase greater public investment in the arts and arts education. Energizing and informing this work are a series of annual events: Arts Advocacy Day in Washington, DC; the Nancy Hanks Lecture on Arts and Public Policy; and the Public Leadership in the Arts Awards presented in partnership with the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
Private-Sector Initiatives
Private-sector initiatives are designed to facilitate the transfer of expertise and the sharing of knowledge between business and the arts. Programs include the National Arts Marketing Project, designed to provide formal capacity building services to arts organizations, via the implementation of marketing expertise; Business Volunteers for the Arts, which brings together thousands of professionals to volunteer their time and expertise at arts organizations; and Creativity Connection, a unique leadership training and consultancy program that provides arts-based learning solutions to aide and promote creativity and innovation in corporations.
Professional Development
Professional development programs at Americans for the Arts target specific sectors of the cultural field. The goal is to give stakeholders with particular interest in public art, community revitalization, arts education, united arts fundraising, and leadership development the tools needed to succeed. To meet this goal, Americans for the Arts hosts an annual array of workshops, regional programs, and two national annual conferences. View more information on the 2011 Annual Convention, June 16-18, 2011 in San Diego, CA and the National Arts Marketing Conference, November 12–15, 2010 in Louisville, KY.
Visibility
Raising public awareness of the value of the arts requires clear and persistent messaging. Working in partnership with the Ad Council, Americans for the Arts created Art. Ask for More., a multiyear national public service advertising campaign to inform about the value of the arts and arts education and showcase National Arts and Humanities Month. Taking place every October, this month celebrates the breadth and depth of culture all across America.
