Americans for the Arts encourages the participation of arts administration, fine arts, and arts education students and values the contribution they bring to the field.
- Stay up to date and get familiar with the go-to resources in the Americans for the Arts Online Store, where you get a discount.
- Peruse the Arts Management Programs at Colleges & Universities: A list of degree offerings is currently made available by the Association of Arts Administration Educators.
- Utilize the Emerging Leaders Network and the Job Bank, and become connected to a national network of arts professionals who are new to the field as well as a growing number of job seekers across the country.
- Take advantage of FREE events for students and emerging leaders going on all around the country: Emerging Arts Leaders Creative Conversations, the Emerging Leaders Reception at our Annual Convention, and the Emerging Leaders Reception at Arts Advocacy Day.
- Americans for the Arts offers member discounts at its conferences and seminars, including a student rate at the Annual Convention, the National Arts Marketing Project (NAMP) Conference, and at Arts Advocacy Day.
- Get Online Store discounts up to 15 percent for members, including students.
- Join Americans for the Arts for as little as $50 and receive all of the benefits at the Colleague membership level.
Access to Research and Information
- ArtsMarketing.org, a comprehensive web portal, serves as a resource for students in arts administration programs and for all members of the arts community, across artistic disciplines, by providing practical marketing tools and information.
- Register to vote.
- Visit the Arts Action Center. All it takes is two minutes to tell Congress you support the arts and arts education.
- Take part in arts advocacy events, including Arts Advocacy Day and the Nancy Hanks Lecture on Arts and Public Policy.
- Student members have access to more many engaging listservs on topics such as public art, arts education and emerging leaders.
- Be a part of an Emerging Arts Leaders Creative Conversation in your community, or better yet, organize your own.
- Connect with other members who have similar interests, through Networks and Peer Groups, including grantmaking, arts education, and rural and small communities.
