Jennifer H. Goulet is President/CEO of ArtServe Michigan, leading advocacy, capacity building and strategic communications efforts supporting Michigan’s arts, culture, arts education and creative industries.

Joining ArtServe as Development Director in 2007 she was appointed President/CEO in 2009 when state arts funding was nearly eliminated. Goulet led efforts to bring the Cultural Data Project to Michigan securing data to advocate for the contributing impacts of arts to Michigan’s reinvention through ArtServe’s 2012 Creative State MI report – leading to the first meaningful increase in state arts funding since 2001.

Her 27 years of cultural and economic development leadership includes 12 years as the City of Ypsilanti's Downtown Development Authority and Economic Development Director, where she led efforts to transform an historic Masonic Temple into the vibrant Riverside Arts Center, and Executive Director of the Chelsea Center for the Arts. Prior to 1993, Goulet was the Comprehensive Planning Director for Brevard County, Florida where she facilitated the County’s first art in public places ordinance in partnership with the Brevard Cultural Alliance. 

Goulet has a master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University and bachelor’s degree in Geography from Valparaiso University. She co-chairs the MI Cultural Data Project Advisory Council, serves on Boards of Directors for the MI Nonprofit Association, Riverside Arts Center Foundation, Kresge Arts in Detroit Advisory Council, MI Sense of Place Council and MI Main Street Advisory Committee. She  served on boards of directors for ArtServe Michigan, Ann Arbor Arts Alliance and MI Association of Community Arts Agencies.
