  1. What are the criteria for submitting news items or announcements?

To be relevant for the newsletter, submissions must be directly relevant to public policymaking and culture. While every item posted does not have to directly pertain to a specific issue area, we use these issue areas as guidelines for determining if a submitted item is the right fit for the newsletter, and its audience. Also, submitting an item does not guarantee publication.

  1. What are some examples of potential submissions?
  • An article on a policy action (legislation, court decision, etc.) that affects the arts/culture in your community
  • A story that illustrates the national importance of the arts/culture
  • An article that highlights a critical issue facing the creative sector
  1. How do I submit an event or announcement?
Simply e-mail the article and hyperlink to artswatch@artsusa.org.
  2. When should I submit my item to be included in the latest issue?
Arts Watch is published twice each month, on the second and fourth Wednesday. In order for an item to be included, it must be received by COB on the Monday prior to publication.
