Erin Gough is the Manager of the Arts and Education Initiative at the Education Policy and Leadership Center, a statewide organization based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania that seeks to encourage and support the development and implementation of effective state-level education policies to improve student learning in grades P-12, increase the effective operation of schools, and enhance educational opportunities for citizens of all ages.
She is also the Coordinator of the new Pennsylvania Arts Education Network, a coalition of arts, arts education, and advocacy organizations and individuals working together to strengthen public and policymaker support for arts education in Pennsylvania.
Erin recently received her Master of Arts Management degree from Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Public Policy and Management. While enrolled as a fulltime graduate student, she was also one of two Co-executive Directors of Future Tenant, a multidisciplinary art space for emerging artists located in Downtown Pittsburgh.
Erin received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from George Mason University in 2010. As an emerging arts education professional, she is realizing how truly exceptional it was to have had the chance to attend public schools from kindergarten through 12th grade where quality arts education was always both an option and a priority, and seeks to ensure students from all backgrounds have the same opportunities.
