Lynne  Kingsley

In June 2012, Kingsley joined the Association of Performing Arts Presenters as the Director of Communications and Marketing. Kingsley previously served as the Executive Director for the American Alliance for Theatre and Education, where she expanded AATE’s “Theatre In Our Schools” program to two new cities in 2010 and four new cities in 2011. In July 2010, Kingsley helped create the 21st Century Skills Arts Map with other arts service organizations and the Partnership for 21st Century Skills. Kingsley continues to serve on the National Coalitition of Core Arts Standards, the ongoing initiative to revise standards in arts education. An avid social networking and Twitter champion, Kingsley contributes daily to the national dialogue on the benefits of an early education in the arts.

Kingsley is an honors graduate of the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University and the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts. She acted and taught in theatres for young audiences in England and Scotland, and performed stand‐up comedy in New York and London before moving to Washington, D.C. Kingsley joined AATE as a member in 2005 and joined the staff in 2009.
