Alex Sarian

Alex Sarian is employed by Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA) where he serves as the Director of Finance & New Business for Lincoln Center Institute, overseeing the organization’s $5MM budget and all aspects of marketing, consulting services and business development for programs that reach over 300,000 students annually in New York City, across the United States and around the globe.  Prior to LCPA, Sarian was the Director of Education at the award-winning MCC Theater in New York City, where he strategically increased educational programming by 400% in preparation of a $25MM capital campaign, affording the company its very own performing arts center in midtown Manhattan.  He also runs a private consulting practice, Affinity Arts Group, through which he’s worked with clients in the US, South America and Europe on topics ranging from program development to leadership training to financial assessment.  Originally from Argentina, Sarian has lectured and led workshops on Arts Education Administration at Columbia University, New York University, Emerson College, Purchase College, Rutgers University and was a featured speaker at the International Baccalaureate’s inaugural TEDx conference in Toronto, Canada.  In addition to his involvement with Americans for the Arts, he has served on the governing Boards of the NYC Arts in Education Roundtable and the New Jersey Arts Education Collective.  He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Educational Theatre and Performing Arts Administration from New York University and lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife, a middle school drama teacher.
