Ryan Hurley

Ryan Hurley is an educator, writer, community organizer and currently the Program Manager for Arts @ Large, a Milwaukee-based arts education organization that provides comprehensive art programming for public schools and winner of the Americans for the Arts 2012 Arts Education Award.  As Program Manager, Ryan works to organize and train school communities to develop innovative and sustainable models of arts integration that foster community engagement and development.

Ryan is a member of four National Poetry Slam teams and has been featured in multiple national publications including The Progressive, Burning Word, Dream of a Nation and Positive Impact Magazine. Ryan is an elected member of the Emerging Leaders Council with Americans for the Arts, the nation's leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts and arts education. Ryan holds a Master’s Degree in Cultural Foundations of Education, a program that focuses on strategies for community organizing, community empowerment and finding creative solutions for educational injustice.
