Jo Carole Lauder has long been devoted to the active support of the arts and civic causes. Mrs. Lauder has worked extensively with the Museum of Modern Art in New York where she is the President of the International Council, a member of the Contemporary Art Council and a member of the Chairman’s Council. Mrs. Lauder is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Friends of Art and Preservation in Embassies, a foundation that assists the U.S. Department of State in its various programs designed to exhibit and preserve fine and decorative art in U.S. embassies. She also serves on the Board of Trustees of Independent Curators International (ICI), is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Mount Sinai Medical Center and is a member of the Board of the Homes for Life Foundation in Delaware. She married Ronald S. Lauder in July 1967; they have two daughters and reside in New York City.
