Eric Rogers has served as executive director of Arts Place, Inc. since 1976. Arts Place is a regional arts council serving 16 counties in East Central Indiana and West Central Ohio. Rogers graduated cum laude from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Music in piano performance and continued his studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music. He is a past president of the Indiana Coalition for the Arts. Rogers has served as a trustee of Arts Midwest, a member of the Indiana Public Radio Advisory Council, and was elected to two terms on the Jay School Corporation Board of Education, serving as president and secretary. In 2003, Rogers and Arts Place were jointly awarded Indiana Governor’s Arts Award. He is a co-author of Leadership Partners, ((c) 1994, The Jefferson Center for Learning and the Arts) which explores the role of the CEO and the board chair in the life of the nonprofit organization.
