Maryo Gard Ewell has a lifetime of experience in arts leadership in communities in Connecticut, Illinois, and Colorado. Specializing in the symbiotic relationship between the arts and community development, Ewell has authored and co-authored numerous arts administration publications, most notibly The Arts and the Small Community published in 1969. Ewell retired in 2003 from the Colorado Council on the Arts, and now works as a consultant and speaker.
